Creator of all humanity, we stand in your presence in the shadow of the national tragedy that befell our nation this last week. As we mourn the passing of those who died, and hold those who were wounded in our hearts, our pain reminds us that we are all part of the same American family, united, as we pray for the healing of bodies and of spirits.
May we find comfort in the stories of heroism from ordinary men and women, inspiring us to act with courage and conviction, strengthening our resolve to serve our communities, our State, and our country.
May this be God’s will. Amen.
