Holy God, we give thanks this day for all those who have answered the call to serve in this Legislature, both today and in years past. May all those who come to these halls serve with distinction and honor; may they follow the light of their conscience as you give them the light; and may each of us keep the people of our nation and state ahead of our own interests--AMEN.
