Creator of the Universe,
The world you have given us is both beautiful and fearsome, filled with great wonders, and terrifying dangers.
Our thoughts and prayers turn this morning to our brothers and sisters in Southern California whose lives, and communities lay in the path of danger.
O God - We pray for the safety of those who put themselves in harm`s way to protect others. And we pray as well that our State to be blessed once again with an abundance of rain, with temperate weather, and that we may live in harmony with the natural world, and not in fear of it.
May this be God`s will. Amen.
