05/29/2012 - Daily Prayer

O God of Freedom, Let us never forget the words of our noble President Abraham Lincoln when he urged us to give honor to the soldier, and sailor everywhere, who bravely bears his country`s cause. Honor also to the citizen who cares for his brother in the field, and serves, as he best can, the same cause."

Whether we are soldier or civilian, civil servant or private citizen, we should all remember that we are working for the same cause, for the betterment of our union, for the well being of all our citizens. Each of us has a role to play, a sacred duty to serve our country.

May it be the will of our Creator that in whatever ways we are called upon to serve we will step forward with eagerness, with dedication and with gratitude for this country that has given so much to each of us. And let us say-AMEN.
