Oh, God! We thank you for another day of life, another day to work for you, and to work for the people of this State of California.
Lord, we pray you will guide every woman and every man in these positions of enormous responsibility and authority and power. You promised, "Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened."
Lord you also tell us to "pray for those in authority, that we may live quiet and peaceful lives in all spirituality and transparency."
Bless these men and women, protect their families, give them pleasure in governing, wisdom in decision-making, and success in all they do. Bless California, oh God, and these United States of America.
And we thank you in anticipation.
