O great and wondrous God,
You continue to reveal Truths to us through philosophers, theologians and humorists. Through their words we can learn about ourselves and find a way to live a more moral life.
The great American philosopher, and student of human nature, Mark Twain, used humor to tell hard truths. He advised us to “always do right.” As he said “this will gratify some people and astonish the rest.”
May our hearts always be open to knowing what is right and good, and may we always have the strength and moral courage to act on that knowledge.
May this be God’s will.--AMEN.
