Holy and Gracious God, We give thanks today for the call to serve. Remind us again that all of us can be great because all of us can serve. Give to all who serve in this Capitol an abiding sense of your compassion; open our minds to see the possibilities; give us eyes to see those who are on the margins; and instill in us a sense of urgency that justice delayed is justice denied. Help each of us to rise above ourselves with courage and strength.—AMEN.
