O God of all humanity,
You have created us not only in Your image, but you have also created us to live in a state of equality with one another, and with liberty and happiness.
Nelson Mandela has dedicated his life to the dream of a just society, where all men and women can exist in a state of equality. He taught us that “to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”
May it be Your will o God that we strive to create such a reality, where we establish laws that are just and laws that respect and enhance not only our rights, but also the freedom of others. May this be God’s will. --AMEN
