Prayer Offered for May 20, 2026
Upon invitation of the President, the following prayer was offered by Senator Laura Richardson:
Make us an instrument of peace:
where there is disagreement, let us sow love;
where there is misunderstanding, let us sow pardon;
where there is doubt, let us sow faith;
where there is despair, let us sow hope;
where there is darkness, let us sow light;
where there is sadness, let us sow joy.
For it is in giving that we receive, and
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned.—AMEN.
