Prayer Offered for June 11, 2026
Upon invitation of the President, the following prayer was offered by Senator Reyes, as written by the Chaplain, Sister Michelle Gorman, RSM:
“There is no power greater than a community discovering what it cares about.
Ask “What’s possible?” not “What’s wrong?” And keep asking.
Notice what you care about and assume that others share your dreams.”

Let us pray:
Loving and merciful God, You have given us the courage and determination to engage in conversations that matter, to forge creative solutions that will affect many people into the future. We continue to trust in the outpouring of Your Spirit in new and surprising ways as we rely on the generosity and human goodness of each other. We make our prayer in Your name.—AMEN.
