Prayer Offered for February 5, 2026

God of all peoples and nations, we thank You for the work of this week, which has enabled us to bring hope and consolation to those we are called to serve. We pray for our country and world: may constructive dialogue help us overcome cynicism and distrust. We pray that collaboration and mutual respect among nations and peoples will replace exploitation and destructive competition. We pray that human ingenuity will benefit the whole human family. And we pray that concern for the common good will continue to be a value in this chamber as we aim to act justly, love tenderly, and walk humbly with You, our God.—AMEN.
