Prayer Offered for April 22, 2019

Eternal and almighty Lord, our God, we thank You for giving us this beautiful day with the upright Spirit and true Word to thank You for everything You have given us.

Dear father, we are gathered here to remember and to commemorate the 104th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, and to pray for the souls of Your creatures and saints, our 1.5 million compatriots who perished during this genocide.

Our brothers and sisters at the State Senate join us today in remembering this tragic event. As citizens of this beautiful country and as members of this advanced society, we renew our vows to always raise awareness and to keep our promise by remembering and reminding everyone about the Armenian genocide yet to be recognized by the perpetrator.

We pray for so much desired peace both within ourselves and around the world. Give us Your divine peace which is beyond our comprehension and spread Your love everywhere so we can all coexist in harmony.

Lord our Father, we ask Your blessings and wisdom to descend upon us all, and especially upon our leaders, to dispel all the wicked thoughts and deeds from our midst and from everywhere, so that we can prevent future genocides and injustice against humanity.

We beseech You and ask from You o’benevolent God, safeguard our very precious freedom and liberty, so we can always defend and preserve justice for all.—AMEN.
