We take a moment to anchor our consciousness in our Higher Power by many names.
We pray that each Senator here this morning has the power to be gentle, the strength to be forgiving, the patience to be understanding, and the endurance to accept the consequences of holding on to what they believe is right. May they put their trust in the power of good to overcome evil, and the power of love to overcome hate. Help them to devote their energy to the task of being smart, tough, compassionate leaders; praying always for the inspiration to create a government that is prosperous, climate-caring, and protects all citizens, regardless of color, birthplace, or lifestyle.—AMEN.
