Gracious God, You know what a temptation it is
to whine and complain. To criticize and judge.
Free us for something better.
Even in the shadow of injustice
We can speak Your grace;
We can utter Your endless possibilities.
May our words build up and bless,
create space for newness,
be the living alternative to the evil we decry.
Speak Your grace through us.
May we be persons of our word,
