Prayer Offered for August 16, 2022

Upon invitation of the President, the following prayer was offered by Senator Rubio, as written by the Chaplain, Sister Michelle Gorman, RSM:

Let us pray today in the words of Hildegard of Bingen:

Holy Spirit,

Giving life to all life,

moving all creatures;

root of all things,

washing them clean;

wiping out our mistakes,

healing our wounds:

You are our true life,

Luminous and wonderful,

Awakening our heart

From its ancient sleep.—AMEN.
