Beloved Father, as we partake of this day, blessed the Senate Floor, its members, their families, and most importantly the people we desire to serve in humility and transparency. Give us the gift of community and welcoming to all who feel marginalized. Help us to build bridges and not walls. Most importantly, guide this great state of California in discernment, compassion, and love. Help us to be mindful every day that we are serving and You are guiding us to true kinship of belonging.—AMEN.
