Prayer Offered for August 23, 2018

We begin in the Name of God—the Excessively Loving, the Compassionate One and the Extremely Loving Merciful One.

Yours is all praise, in Your gentleness and pardon. O You who covers our faults. You whose goodness envelops all.

O Empowering One, we ask that You grant us success in fulfilling the immense responsibility we hold to the people of this state.

O Most Just and the Giver of Gifts, make us a community that implements and lives by our constitution in a way that is just, fair, and ethical.

O Most Caring and Wise One, make us sincere and honest caretakers and custodians of the people and push us to be accountable, gently, and improve ourselves, constantly, when we fall short.

All those who are suffering from sickness please enable us to be the remedy.

All those who are suffering from poverty please enable us to enrich them.

All those who are suffering from Injustice please enable us to be their advocates.

All those who are broken please enable us to make them whole again.

All those who are hungry enable us to feed them.

All those who are homeless enable us to house them.

All those who are displaced enable us to reunite them with what was once separated from them.

And all those who do not feel loved, we ask You to fortify our hearts with the capacity to love them.

Fill our hearts, minds and souls with a true love and compassion for the people we serve.

Oh Lord You are the greatest Lover and Beloved and source of all love, let love reign!

Oh Lord You are the Source of Peace and its Giver, let absolute peace reign!

Oh Lord You are the Wisest and source of all wisdom, bless us with beneficial knowledge, deep insight, great understanding and comprehension, intellect and wisdom.

With this, We ask that You accept this prayer from us. For You are the Most Merciful who accepts prayers.—AMEN.
