Prayer Offered for August 8, 2016

   In Memoriam of Senator Sharon Runner

  Gracious, heavenly Father, we come to You today with heavy hearts; grieving the loss of this wonderful woman. A woman who loved her husband George, her children Micah and Rebekah, her valley, her church, and even this state. And so, Lord, we grieve and we mourn and we thank You that You are the god of all comfort. But we also celebrate today a life well lived and we also celebrate a life that continues to live on in heaven with You. I pray Your blessing on each one in this room. I pray Your comfort, particularly on George and this beloved family. And Father, I pray for all who gather here today. And I also pray, Lord, that You would bless richly, this state, which meant so much to Sharon. We pray in Jesus name,—AMEN.
