God of all promises and faithfulness, we ask Your blessing on us this afternoon as we gather to conduct the business of the State of California. Those raised up to public service have the opportunity to live a life of meaning, to lead in companionship, and to see Your face in those they serve.
We ask You to bless these deliberations, and for an abundance of laughter and love, along with our disagreements. Grant all those gathered this afternoon Your stability, Your humility, and Your wisdom. We ask this in union with Your Spirit.—AMEN.
