As we prepare to go forth from this session, I have adapted a prayer that the Sisters of Mercy use when we drive:
We pray: Along ways of peace and prosperity, may the almighty and merciful Lord lead you;
May your guardian angel accompany you on the journey,
So that you may in peace, health, and joy
Return back safely to this Senate chamber at the appointed time.─AMEN.
