Prayer Offered for September 9, 2021

Arise, O Living Spirit, and help us embrace the day ahead.

Awaken our eyes and ears for revelation.

Invoke new wisdom which is our daily bread.

Protect anew these pilgrims of the dawn.

Give us the gift of courage to make us brave in heart.

Give us the gift of truth in all we say.

Give us the light of vision on which to embark.

Refresh anew these pilgrims of the dawn.

We’re stewards of Creation, gifted into life, entrusted with the care of all that is.

We’re called to work for justice, not divisive strife.

Unite as one these pilgrims of the dawn.

Each day provides a milestone on the way, surprising us with paradox and hope.

We’re grateful for the blessing of another day, embracing us as pilgrims of the dawn.—AMEN.
