Prayer Offered for August 26, 2024

The heavens are telling the glory of God;

And their expanse is declaring the work of God’s hands.

There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard,

Yet their music goes out through all the Earth,

And their utterances to the end of the world….

The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul;

The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart….

But who can discern their own weaknesses?

Acquit us, O Lord, from our hidden faults….

Let our fears not have dominion over us.

Then shall we become a beneficial presence,

Freely and fully surrendered to Your Love.

Loving God, may the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable in Your sight this day.—AMEN.
