Prayer Offered for August 21, 2025

Merciful and compassionate God, we ask You to abide with us in all the needs of our lives:

Enable our caring to be wise, our support honest, and our concerns thoughtful.

May our loves as well as our fears be accurate.

May our spirits be so open to Your guidance that we will become faithfully daring, expectantly patient, and responsibly hopeful with each other and with Your people—

In our neighborhoods, our state, and our nation.

We ask this in Your name.—AMEN.
